There will be an Technician License orientation session at 8am on November 4th at the Sandoval Community Center located at 2573 Sandoval Parkway, Cape Coral, FL 33991.

A follow-up session going into more detail will be held the following week, November 11th with a testing session after this class session in the same location.

NOTE: Candidates who will be attempting to earn their first license will need to bring a government-issued photo ID and have an FCC Registration Number (FRN). Obtaining an FRN takes less than ten minutes and there is no charge for the FCC Registration. You will need to have access to an email account to complete the registration. The ARRL’s “Ham Radio License Manual – Technician Class, 5th Edition” [ISBN 978-1-62595-155-7]  will be the textbook used for these sessions.

The manual is available from ARRL.org for $32.95 plus shipping (spiral-bound); from Amazon.com.

Or, you can purchase the spiral-bound manual from the Club for $30.00.  They will be on hand at both sessions or you can send an e-mail to education@fmarc.net to purchase the manual.

After taking a class, we provide FREE testing at our VE Testing sessions once a month on the second Thursday at 6:15pm. If you take our Technician Class and then pass your test, you get the current FMARC year membership dues for free! Come be a ham, and a club member!
