Contesting

CQ CQ TEST DE W4LX

From Bob Lewis – N8GU- FMARC Club Contesting Chair
Welcome to the revival of the Fort Myers ARC Contesting Group. It’s been around forty years (1982) since FMARC had club contesting. This is especially great for those folks who don’t work HF due to HOA antenna constraints. Here is your opportunity to play radio by participating in the FMARC contesting group. Even if you’ve never contested you will have plenty of Elmers to assist you. The contesting group operates from various places within Lee County.
For certain ARRL contests, participants can actually operate from home with their own callsign and then adding Fort Myers ARC as their club. FMARC gets that score added to the ARRL Club Contesting Category.
If you would like to join the FMARC Contesting Group, and/or be put on our email blast list to receive more information, please make your request to: contesting@fmarc.net
Also, if you are joining our group, please email me your callsign and your six-digit grid locator so I can get you registered with ARRL.
73 and I hope you consider ham radio contesting, also known as radio sport.
Bob – N8GU
